Funding

Students participating in the double degree can apply for an Erasmus+ mobility grant. In the academic year 2022/23, the Erasmus contribution for Turkey is 490,00 €/month.

Tuition fees

There are no tuition fees charged for participants of the program. Bilgi students coming to Viadrina have to pay the university’s registration fee of approximately 350 €/semester.

Living expenses in Istanbul

Regarding living expenses, Istanbul can be compared to any West European city. Accomodation (one room in a shared flat) is about 400 €/month, all inclusive. Food, clothing and transportation is cheaper than in Germany. Students will need at least 600 €/month to cover all living expenses.

Living expenses in Frankfurt (Oder) / Berlin

Housing in Frankfurt (Oder) is easier to find and cheaper than in Berlin (about 200-400 €/month per room). The costs for a room in Berlin amount to about 500-700 €/month per room). Students can travel for free to Berlin (one hour by train), because the train ticket is included in their student card. Complete living expenses in Germany are at least 700-800€ per month.
